We provide Behaviour Support delivered by a qualified Behaviour Support Practitioner under Improved Relationships funding.
Our work includes:
Understanding behaviour within the context of the person’s life, environment, and relationships
Completing Functional Behaviour Assessments where required
Developing individualised Behaviour Support Plans
Supporting improved relationships across home, community, education, and support settings
Working collaboratively with participants, families, support workers, schools, and Support Coordinators
Building practical strategies that can be used consistently in everyday life
All Behaviour Support is delivered using a strength based, neuro affirming, and person centred approach.
Effective Behaviour Support can support:
Improved safety and wellbeing
Reduced distress during daily routines and transitions
Increased understanding of communication and emotional needs
Stronger, more positive relationships
Greater consistency across support teams
Increased participation in everyday activities
Behaviour Support is not a quick fix. Meaningful change happens over time through understanding, collaboration, and consistent support.
We take time to listen and gather information from the participant and the people who know them best, to understand what behaviour may be communicating.
Where required, a Functional Behaviour Assessment is completed and an individualised Behaviour Support Plan is developed.
Strategies focus on safety, regulation, communication, and supporting the person within their real-life environments.
We work alongside families, support workers, schools, and Support Coordinators to support consistent, respectful approaches.
Support is reviewed and adapted as needs, environments, and goals change over time.
Behaviour Support may be helpful for:
NDIS participants
Families and carers
Support workers and providers
Support Coordinators
Schools and education settings
Support is always individualised and responsive to the person’s needs and circumstances.
